- previous diagnosis of cause of infertility /when possible- operation reports concerning the state of the fallopian tube passage, form and size of the uterus, hormone levels etc.)
- blood group, Rhesus factor.
- HBs-Ag (Hepatitis B immune status)
- HCV (Hepatitis C status)
- HIV (AIDS test)
- CMV (Cytomegalie-virus)
- Rubella Titre = German Measles. In cases where the titre is too low ( no protection against Rubella) a vaccination can be given, and controlled again in 3 months. (Therapy can’t begin until 3 months have elapsed after the vaccination)
- Lues serology.
- Toxoplasmosis Titre
- Chlamydia test
- Hormone: prolactin, TSH, testosterone, DHEAS
- Karyogramm by family defects and eventually by ICSI.
The Karyogramm examination is carried out on lymphocytes from peripheral blood. The laboratory needs 5-10ml of Heparin blood, which must not be allowed to clot. (don’t use EDTA tubes) Send immediately by express post.
For DNA tests 10-20ml EDTA blood is needed. (heparin blood is not as suitable) Send express at the beginning of the week.
