The In vitro Maturation is a new technique and offers an alternative for individual cases and cases, in which a normal IVF/ICSI treatment dos not lead to success.
Although the success rate is relatively small, the scientific studies are still continuing. Nevertheless we offer this technique on the highest international standard to the following patients:
-
Patients at a high risk of overstimulation with polycystic ovaries
-
Patients who will start chemotherapy, since the follicle stimulation would lead to complications.
Please keep in mind:
- The classic technique of a follicle stimulation with IVF and ICSI still remains the „Golden-Standard“ of all therapies.
- According to international literature [see Theriogenology, Band 65 (2006), p. 178 – 191, from Farin P. et al] the maturation of unripe egg cells in the test-tubes is clearly reduced and connected with harmful consequences for the development of the embryo and the fetus. Tests on human embryos showed, that after In vitro Maturation almost 80% of all embryos featured damages on the chromosomes.
- We have to bring these facts to the patients' attention and explain the measures and risks to them beforehand!
