Conclusion (I) - ICSI at higher magnification results in higher pregnancy rates
- especially in cases with a high degree of DNA-fragmentation
- higher percentage of TOP embryos
- Early spontaneous abortion rate is reduced
- Acceptable pregnancy rates can be accomplished with this method in cases with moderate and low degree of sperm-DNA-fragmentation, in which the reason for a previous negative therapy is not connected to Sperm-DNA-fragmentation.
Conculsion (II) The functional and morphological technique features advantages in the near future for treatments against - no fertilization after ICSI
- no implantation
- severe Teratozoospermie < 10%
- increased fragmentations
- idiopathic infertility
Conclusion (III) This technique is an improvement for patients with a severe «male factor ». PICSI Using the so-called Hyaluronan-Bonding-Test, sperm cells get selected due to specific membrane-bonding characteristics. All bonding sperm cells are mature and do not show any DNA-degradation. These bonded sperm cells can be used for ICSI.
